Oh Hey Friday…Favorite Food!!!!
Happy Friday guys!!! I hope you have some great plans for this weekend because the weather should be sooooo beautiful. We will be celebrating our second wedding anniversary and I am really excited to have a date night…eating yummy food and having some adult beverages!
Speaking of yummy food I have some really good items that I have been loving lately that I need to tell you about. You guys, some of these things are so flipping good I can’t even believe I just discovered them! So if you are looking for some yummy things to add to your grocery list, keep reading.
1// La Croix Coconut Sparkling Water: Oh My Gosh you guys…this stuff is HEAVEN!!! I have had other flavors of this water and liked them ok, but this flavor…yuuuummmm this flavor!!!! If you like coconut anything then you NEED to try this. I have been trying to stop my one diet pop a day habit/addiction, and this stuff has been the perfect substitute!!! It smells and tastes like drinking on the beach…and coconut (duh) and sometimes I even mix it with organic pineapple juice and awwwww it is just so good. TRY IT!!!
2// Morning Star Buffalo Chik Patties: So you probably know I don’t eat meat and I am constantly trying new things to introduce to my family as a substitute for other meat products. I have had other morning star products and usually like them, but my friend turned me on to these a couple of weeks ago and I have not looked back. I didn’t even think I liked buffalo flavored anything but it turns out I kind of do!. I have been baking one these puppies on the daily and chopping it up and throwing it on a salad for lunch and it is so good. My husband even loves them…he makes sandwiches with them all the time. These are great and so yummy, so if you are looking for an alternative to the chicken patty with gross grisly chunks of lord knows what…these are your answer.
3//Alexia Organic Oven Crinkles with Sea Salt and Pepper: We are trying really hard to be healthier in our house, but some times you just need some french fries! These are the best things ever as an alternative to unhealthy greasy fries. They are baked, which is healthier but the pepper on these bad boys make them soooooo delicious! Again, try these I don’t think you will be disappointed.
4// Ancient Harvest Quinoa Pasta: Again with the healthy theme here. We love a good pasta dinner and in an attempt to make it healthier we substituted regular pasta one night for this quinoa pasta. I will be honest, Joe and I were both a little skeptical of this stuff at first but gave it a try knowing how good quinoa is for you. We actually loved it…it is sort of a lighter version of a noodle if that makes any sense. You aren’t as full after eating a bowl of this. I think it is totally worth giving it a try.
5// Gorton’s Smart & Crunchy Breaded Fish Sticks: I don’t eat meat but I do eat fish sometimes…and that is how Ellie is eating currently too, no meat, but some fish. We saw these at the grocery store and knew we had to try them for Ellie. They are wild-caught which I think is important and they are baked and not greasy at all. They are really really good and Ellie loves them. Again, I really think these are worth purchasing and trying for your family…a nice healthy alternative for the greasy fish sticks that you sometimes end up with.
There you have it…several of our favorites right now. If you decide to try them out let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions of things we need to be trying as well then for sure let me know that!!!
As always, I am linking up for this post…hope everyone has an amazing weekend!!!
